RUMOURS & NEWS

 Losses and Gains

Following a meeting earlier in the week I am afraid to say that we have lost a number of acts from the origional line-up.

The B25 is currently waiting on a C of A and will not be with us this year.

Mike has managed to secure the funding for the Vulcan, so this has been added to the display line-up.

It also looks as if the Rafale will not be able to make it this year due to operational commitments.

Mike is still working on the "Rocket Man"

I believe thats it for now, I am still waiting on confirmations from some of the remaining crews but as ever I will attempt to keep news up to date as and when I receive any further info.

2010 Grand Aviation Summer Ball - Sold out!

The 2010 Grand Aviation Summer Ball has Sold Out.

The fundraising team is holding a "waiting list" in the unlikely event of any cancellations.

If you have missed out this year - Please Remember - you will need to get in early for 2011!

Oops - Missed a few off the list!

I do appologise but I appear to have forgotten to add the Lansen, Tunnan and Saab105 to the list of participants.

Apparently the permissions problem which prevented the lansen from attending last year has now been rectified and 1 maybe even 2 Lansens will be with us this year.

No further updates at this time, but please check back now and again as we get a it closer to the event.

Have a great summer

Date for Your Diary: Grand Aviation Summer Ball 2010

Plans are well ahead for the annual Grand Aviation Summer Ball, which will take place on Saturday 4 September 2010 at the Radisson Blu Hotel, St Helier.

As always it promises to be an exceptional evening and the perfect curtain raiser to the aviation activities taking place during the International Air Display Week.

This year's Ball will, as always, be an exceptional evening, including a Champagne reception, sumptuous 3-course dinner, entertainment and dancing until the early hours. Tickets are priced at just £47 per person and can be purchased as individuals or in table groups of up to 12 people.

The 2009 event raised in excess of £8,000, which went towards sponsoring an aircraft in this year's air display.

Due to the expected high demand, tickets are available on a first come basis. Reserve your place now by emailing grandball@jerseyairdisplay.org.uk

Sponsorship opportunities are also available. This is a great way to raise your company profile at such a prestigious event while helping to raise funds for this much loved community event. Should you wish to find out more about the sponsorship opportunities please email grandball@jerseyairdisplay.org.uk

 Quick Update

Hi All

Mike has just informed me that the following aircraft have now been confirmed for September. It looks like the authorisation problems from last year have now been sorted and we will at last see the Lansen at the Jersey Show.

Swedish Air Force Saab J-32 Lansen x 2
Swedish Historic Flight Saab J-29 Tunnan
Swedish Historic Flight Saab Sk-60 (Saab 105)

He has a couple of rather exciting additions to these if he can find the appropriate finance. As ever I wil let you know as soon as things have been confirmed.
