The proffessionalism of your team, all who took part, and of course the fantastic sunshine made for a great day. Don't know where we will be Sep next year(!) but I decided to stay with Lynx and there is still that issue of owing you a role demo I believe... still interested?

superb website and airshow as usual,we live in uk and have been to most recent shows, view at airport to see landings and take offs etc especially Red arrows! Programme states first time in uk for Team Khalifa not so! they at Elvington airshow Yorkshire last August 2002 also thanks for enjoyable static display.

This was my forth time on Jersey with the RAF and my second time working on the front during the airshow. I was one of the Rockapes down by the ducks ramp keeping people off the beach. NIGHTMARE! As ever a fatastic airshow, shame the mist came in & the Red Arrows couldn`t do there full display. can`t wait for next year. will be out with 504sqn again. lets hope the hotel de france doesn`t catch fire again. thats something i can do without.

Would it be possible to let us know the arrival/dep. times of the Red Arrows at the airport? Please?
Also, get the hon. police to stop asking EVERY car individually which way they want to go (by the Grand). It holds up traffic back to the power station!

We've got 4 Lynx, 2 Gazelles, a landing craft, 2 tanks, land-rovers, about 50 eager blokes and (I hope) a great plan to fill 10 minutes of what promises to be another fantastic display! See you all in August... haven't been home in so long I've forgotten what the Island looks like!

I am the historian at the Air Force Test Pilot School. I am doing research on a test pilot, James Alfred Jackson. He was a test pilot with Rolls Royce at Hucknall, England, and flew the Phantom Jet F-4. He is not a grad of TPS but he flew here at Edwards AFB CA in the late 50s (57-60). Can you help me with info on him? Thanks so much!

I know you are starting to put this years (2002) show together and, having just been asked by 'JHC' if 'we' (653 Sqn AAC) would like to participate - again - I just wanted to let Mike know that the things we discussed at New Year can be in full swing as soon as we get the nod from yourselves. All sounds a bit secretive I know but with good reason!!!

Mike, we spoke briefly on the phone this pm re my enquiry as to show content. I just want to say how we thoroughly enjoyed last years display despite the weather and the (understandably) missing participants. I had a little experiance organising air shows with my prevoius employer Rolls-Royce at Hucknall and if I can be of any assistance please do not hesitate. Either way best of luck for Sept.2002

First of all, congratulations for going ahead with the display, I understand how difficult it was for all of you.
Second, the display despite the weather was a real winner. A tremendous effort given by all pilots producing another air display that makes Jersey's so special and different from the rest.

Hi
I will be flying down from Gatwick with a mate early on the 13th to see the display. We are looking forward to seeing a great display and a few beers!!!
As I live in Eastbourne... May I also recommend "Airbourne 2002" next year. Its not a bad display for a town without an airport!!!

Wouldn't miss it for the world! The best air display ever - and we'll (me and my husband, The Toyboy Trucker) be there on Sept 13th. My high-flying novel Walking On Air was researched at various Jersey Air Displays (with the help of the stars at the Aero Club and the Utterly Butterly Barnstormers) and I look forward to meeting up with old friends, making new ones, and having a great day again this year. Can't wait!

Exellent website to prepar your visit for the biggest and best airshow of NW of France... (I am from the cherbourg peninsula and I saw the Jersey Air Display for the first time last year and was very impressed, there is absolutely no equal airshow in the NW area of France, believe me)

It will be the second time that we are able to watch the Jersey Air Display - and we are very happy to be able to attend. Years ago we would not understand people being crazy about noisy planes and watch these dangerous manoevres - the german people were shocked from a horrible accident on an air display in Rammstein where so many people lost their lives. Since then this kind of air displays are banned in Germany. But 3 years ago we saw a very old plane flying above our garden. It was very slow and noisy, had three engines and was beautiful silver. It was a Junkers JU52. Since then we were infected and regularly went to airports to watch planes and made it to book a flight with the "old auntie JU". Last years we were very happy to see the air display on Jersey and the highlight were the Red Arrows. As mentioned above - impossible to watch them in Germany. We are looking forward to seeing this phantastic show this year!
